Sydney-based photographer and videographer Jackson Cahill has been working professionally since 2022, with a focus on music, events, fashion and cabaret.

 

Jackson’s work moves between the raw, darker energy of nightlife and a softer, more cinematic approach to people, aesthetics and emotion. He is fascinated by people, how they move, express themselves, create and connect.

 

Taking a candid, fly-on-the-wall approach, Jackson’s curiosity leads him beyond the obvious, drawn to what feels raw, beautiful, gritty or imperfect, as well as the quieter moments that might otherwise go unnoticed.

 

His approach is to observe rather than interfere, allowing moments to happen naturally.

 

His work has taken him from fashion campaigns for Zara Man Australia to productions at the Sydney Opera House. He has led media teams for major events including Astral People’s Summer Dance, and worked across projects featuring artists such as Fisher, Chris Lake and Skin On Skin, as well as events including Field Day and Teletech.

 

His work also extends into the arts and performance sector, producing content for Sydney Fringe Festival and directing and producing multicamera performances for artists and live productions.
